NAUTICAL FLEA MARKET VENDOR INFORMATION

What:  For the past 7 years the Rockport Yacht Club has sponsored a flea market that is limited to nautical items. 

Where:  The  Flea market is located in the Rock port Harbor near the Art Center.  We close  a street that runs next to the bay on one side and boat slips on the other side.  This is an idea spot for the market as it is very nautical.

When:  The market is always the first weekend in May.  This year it is the 2ND and 3rd. of May.  The hours for the public is 10-5 on Saturday and 10 to 4 on Sunday.

Setup:  The area is available for setup on Friday after 12:00 .  Security is provided on Friday night and Saturday nights

Cost:  The cost for the public is $3.00 on Saturday and $2.00 on Sunday.  Booth rentals are $40.00 per space.

Parking:  Lots of free parking is available for both vendors and public.

Restrictions:  As the Yacht Club has a liquor license, no alcoholic beverages are allowed in or out of the market area (TABC rules).  No dogs are allow in the market area also.  During the time the market is open, vendor vehicles are not allow to come or go through the gate.

Food:  Two booths are selling food and one booth sells all types of drinks.

Statistics:  Last year the flea market attracted over 3,000  paid attendees.  They came from a wide area, both out of state and in state.

Booths:  All booths are at least 10X10 feet. Multiple spaces can be had to increase the size.  The market area has recently been resurfaced and spike, pegs, nails cannot be used to hold down shelters.  If you are going to use a shelter that requires ropes for support, please bring weights or buckets that can be filled with water.

Passes:  Each vendor is given two wrist bands per day, that allows unlimited access.

Club Facilities:   The clubhouse is open to all vendors before and after the market.  An informal "Happy Hour" is held on Friday starting at 5:00pm.  Feel free to use the club as needed.

Electricity:  There is no electricity at each booth.  If you need electricity call Bill at 361 729 1244 it maybe possible to run an extension cord.

Merchandise:  In keeping with the Nautical theme boot must have at least some items that give a nautical touch.
